I know, it's almost a joke, but it happens…
When you run PixyMon, the first screen you see will be black. And you might see some white rectangles with labels. This is called the “default program” and it's Pixy doing what it does – detecting objects and providing locations and sizes of the detected objects (represented by rectangles). The “default program” also streams the detected object information through one of its interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, Analog/digital I/O), but there is no “video”, no raw pixels.
(If you don't see rectangles, you may need to teach Pixy an object.)
If you want to see video, click on the “Raw” or “Cooked” icons at the top of the PixyMon window. Note, in “Raw” or “Cooked” modes, Pixy doesn't stream detected object information through one of its interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, Analog/digital I/O).
If you see an error message in Pixymon such as “No Pixy devices have been detected”, go here.
