  • Run/Stop: This is the same as pressing the Run/Stop button in the main window of PixyMon. Selecting this stops the video that's being rendered in the video window. This is useful when grabbing a frame or typing commands into the command/status window. Select this again to resume video.
  • Default program: This is the same as pressing the Default program button in the main window of PixyMon. Selecting this runs the default program, which is the program that executes when Pixy powers up. It's typically the program that does all of the processing on Pixy and outputs the results (e.g. detected objects) through one of Pixy's serial ports.
  • Raw video: This is the same as pressing the Raw video button in the main window of PixyMon. Selecting this displays raw, unprocessed video. This is useful for adjusting focus, camera brightness, etc.
  • Cooked video: This is the same as pressing the Cooked video button in the main window of PixyMon. Selecting this displays processed “cooked” video. Select this if you want to get a good idea of how Pixy is processing images within the default program. Cooked mode is raw video with processed video overlay.
  • Run pan/tilt demo: Selecting this runs the pan/tilt demo onboard Pixy (no Arduino or external controller required).
  • Set signature: Selecting one of these will allow you to set the signature by selecting your object in the video window with a mouse-select. There is more information here.
  • Set CC signature: Selecting one of these will allow you to set a color code signature by selecting your object in the video window with a mouse-select. There is more information here.
  • Clear signature…: Select this and you will be prompted in the command/status window for which color signature you wish to clear.
  • Clear all signatures: Selecting this will clear all color signatures.
  • Restore default parameter values: Selecting this will restore all Pixy parameters to their default values. This is useful if your Pixy is behaving strangely – you can use this to “reset” things. Note, this does not restore PixyMon parameters to their default values.
